Conditions of play

It will be a 72-hole stroke play championship with 18 holes played each day. The field will comprise 206 Professionals with 98 allocated to each Tour, and 10 invitations split 5 for Joburg Open in consultation with the Sunshine Tour and 5 for Joburg Open in consultation with the PGA European Tour and 4 allocations for Amateurs. If a play-off is required, it will be a sudden death over the 18th hole. Play will be in three-balls on the first two days off the 1st and 10th from both fields, and in two-balls on the last two days after the cut on the East Course. The cut will be 65 + ties. Play will be in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, the PGA European Tour and the Sunshine Tour Tournament Rules.

Tickets to the public will only be available at the gate of the Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Course, from 3 – 16 January. The ticket prices are as follows:

Public parking will be available at Huddle Park. Please follow directional signage to the parking areas.

Public catering

Public catering will be available during the tournament. The main public catering facility is located in the marquee next to the tournament 1st fairway - East Course. A variety of meals, drinks and snacks will be available on sale.

Medical Assistance are on site for the duration of the tournament. The Medical Services are located in the public catering facility located in the marquee next to the tournament on the 1st fairway - East Course.
